Axioma Servisas is expanding its list of foreign customers and the territory of its operations – since May, part of the team of the Service Division of the Eastern Region of Estonia has been working in the Villers-Faucon commune in France. One of the leading sugar production companies in Europe located in that commune is modernising its production equipment in order to achieve even higher productivity and ensure uninterrupted operation of the company. One of the devices, a specialised device for drying sugar beet pulp from the Danish manufacturer EnerDry, is installed by the Axioma Service specialists.
High pressure steam is supplied to the heat exchanger and its generated heat dries the sugar beet pulp in super heated steam. The pulp enters a stream of hot steam created by a giant fan at the bottom of the EnerDry device. The dried product is then used as animal feed.
On the territory of the sugar plant, the gigantic EnerDry device, which reaches a height of almost 22 meters and weighs as much as 350 tonnes, will be installed in two stages. First, three parts were assembled from the modules made by the metalworking expert AXIS Tech Estonia. Later, with the help of mobile cranes, the specialists lifted them onto columns erected at a height of 10 meters and assembled them into one unit.
After the welding work of the external structures was completed, the installation moved to the interior of the EnerDry unit. Axioma service specialists are currently installing controls, gears, tubes and other equipment that will be integrated into the general technological process. “At this stage, the most precise accuracy is required so that the internal process runs smoothly,” said Darius Imbrasas, Head of the Service Division of the Eastern Region of Estonia.
Similar equipment for drying sugar beet pulp has been previously installed by Axioma Servisas specialists, but the operation of this particular product is much more complex. After the normal drying process, the EnerDry technology allows the released water vapour to be cleaned and reused.
EnerDry is a Danish company founded in 1998, whose steam drying technology has been awarded and recognised in various countries around the world. Steam Dryers developed by EnerDry engineers can also be used for drying wood chips, grain residues, sludge, fibrous material and brown coal.
