New to the Lithuanian market – Thordon Bearings’ polymer bearings and shaft components that do not require lubrication with grease or oil. The Canadian manufacturer’s solutions completely prevent any potential oil and grease leaks, as all products are only lubricated with potable or seawater or other liquids with a pH between 3 and 11. The bearings are made of proprietary polymeric materials that have an extremely low coefficient of friction and excellent wear resistance: ThorPlas-Blue, ThorPlas-White, XL, SXL and Composite (GM2401). Each has different properties, i.e. resistance to acids, alkalis, abrasives and high temperatures.
