Axioma servisas’s laboratory carries out metrological testing of breathalysers. These checks are mandatory every 6 months for all meters used by public and private companies to guarantee the accuracy of readings.

The laboratory carries out metrological verification of breathalysers, which are included in the Lithuanian list of metrological devices. The technicians check that the device is working accurately and within the manufacturer’s declared tolerance limits. Breathalysers that meet the standards are issued with a certificate and a verification mark.
Metrological verification is carried in the laboratory
Alcohol concentration meters undergo metrological checks at the Axioma servisas laboratory in Vilnius. Certified reference solutions are used to test the full measuring range of the breathalyser.
Specialist support for listing an breathalyser model in the list
Axioma servisas laboratory, as the designated body, carries out an assessment of the documentation of the measuring instruments, verifying the conformity of the metrological characteristics of the alcotesters and the feasibility of their verification in Lithuania, in accordance with the current verification methodologies. They also help to prepare the necessary documents for the approval of new types of measuring instruments and to enter new models of breathalyser into the Lithuanian State Register of Measuring Instruments.
