Axioma servisas started the works at the Vilnius CHP

The team of Axioma Servisas launched the works at the Vilnius Combined Heat and Power Plant in January. The works involve the installation of SBE (Steinmuller Babcock Environment GmbH) steam boiler metering devices: level detectors, temperature control metering devices, as well as laying and installation of the impulse lines.

Axioma servisas has completed similar projects before, one of the most recent being the installation and adjustment of automation and electrical equipment in one of the water heating boilers at Vilniaus energija.

According to Tomas Gerdauskas, Head of Axioma servisas Vilnius, the fact that Axioma servisas was chosen for these specific works shows the company’s exceptional competence. “We are seeing an increase in the number and complexity of industrial facilities. Once the equipment is installed, it will need to be maintained. Well-performed installation work can be a springboard for new work,” says T. Gerdauskas.

Construction of the Vilnius CHP plant started in 2018. It is scheduled to start operations in the summer of 2020. The plant will have an electrical capacity of around 92 MW and a thermal capacity of around 229 MW. Modern smoke treatment plants are being installed here to ensure safe and clean energy production. It is estimated that the new Vilnius CHP plant will be able to produce around 40% of the EU’s electricity needs. Vilnius district heating will be provided and CO2 emissions will be reduced by around 436,000 tonnes. tonnes per year.

“Axioma servisas plans to work on the site until early summer. Our team has also carried out automation system installation work at the Kaunas CHP plant.
