After successfully completing an equipment installation project in Rietavas, Axioma Servisas received another order from another company belonging to the BIOVAST group of companies. The equipment repair department team at the Kaunas branch of SIA Reneta, a factory operating in Latvia, implemented a technological equipment installation project.

Installation of technological equipment
A company engaged in the processing of salmon by-products and the production of high-quality salmon meal and oil decided to invest in new technological equipment designed to reduce unpleasant odors.
The Axioma Servisas team undertook to install a regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO), a cooler, pipelines, and a 28-meter-high chimney. An RTO is an industrial device designed to remove harmful volatile organic compounds and odors from exhaust gases by oxidizing (burning) them at high temperatures.
The dismantling of the old equipment and installation of the new equipment took about a month and a half. A team of 10 fitters and welders contributed to the implementation of the project.
Deadlines and challenges
Technological equipment installation projects are usually carried out under extremely tight deadlines. The biggest challenge of this project was the installation of the cooler – within 12 hours, it was necessary to dismantle the old equipment, install the new one, and start up the 5-ton unit.
“The customer could only halt production for one day, so it was extremely important to coordinate all the preparatory work in advance and clearly assign specific tasks to team members,” says project manager Tomas Kupstas.
