“Axioma servisas” UAB is expanding its list of clients – at the beginning of the year, a contract was signed with “Rietavas veterinarinė sanitarija” UAB, which deals with collection, destruction and processing of by-products of animal origin of all categories. The contract is for the installation of equipment for a recovery line.
Modernization of the recovery line
The contract involved the modernization of the equipment of the recovery line for animal by-products at the Rietavas veterinarinės sanitarija plant. The line consisted of 2 meat grinders, 19 screw and 2 belt conveyors, a metal magnet and detector, 2 lamella pump systems, a continuously running disc boiler, a cooler for processed animal proteins, and a two-stage chemical tower to reduce odors. The installation of all this equipment was entrusted to the Axioma servisas team.
After the customer had dismantled the worn-out equipment on its own, the specialists of the Kaunas Equipment Repair Division started the real work, which lasted almost three months. More than 10 locksmiths and welders contributed to the project.
The challenge was to get the huge equipment into the premises
The project involved the installation of specific units weighing several and tens of tones each. The Axioma servisas team was committed to installing a meat grinder weighing 8 tones, a digester weighing more than 50 tones and other equipment.
“The biggest challenge was transporting the 54-tonne digester and getting it into the production facility. The gigantic unit was lifted into the factory with the help of two cranes through the wall of the building,” says Project Manager Tomas Kupstas about the subtleties of the project.
