The Klaipėda department of Axioma Servisas is kickstarting a new and ambitious project at ORLEN Lietuva, the Baltics’ only oil refinery, in Mažeikiai. Priced at an impressive EUR 1.8 million, the project aims to modernise and renovate the cleaning system within the gas and air compressor unit.
The Axioma Servisas Klaipėda department team will be in charge for organising and conducting the automation and electrical design, programming, measuring, launch and tuning operations.
This is the first project of this scope to be carried out at ORLEN Lietuva by the Klaipėda department. So far, nearly all of the company’s projects have been brought to life by the Mažeikiai department team, which as many years of experience working in this specific field of oil and gas.
“The work is scheduled for completion in late summer next year, which makes the deadline very ambitious and tight indeed. Right now, we are fully immersed in the first stage of the operation: electrical and automation design, which will continue right until the end of the year. Then, programming, assembly, launch and tuning operations will follow,” says Gintautas Tiškevičius, project manager with the Klaipėda automation unit.
Through its engagement in this project, Axioma Servisas is making a contribution to the improvement of ORLEN Lietuva’s processes and furthering its ambition of becoming one of the most sophisticated and efficient oil refineries.
