OÜ Azortum, an Estonian company that develops and supplies waste sorting and bulk handling solutions, has commissioned a team from Vilnius service unit to install the mechanical part of a waste sorting system at a waste management company in Vilnius.
A solid waste sorting system developed in Estonia
A new technological line has been developed to optimize the sorting and treatment of municipal solid waste. Azortum’s solution will help to increase recycling efficiency and reduce the volume of waste for further disposal or recycling. It is designed for one of Lithuania’s leading environmental management companies.
The waste sorting line consists of 63 belt conveyors, 2 chain conveyors, 2 balers, 8 separators, 9 optical sorters, a dosing hopper, compressors and other components of the waste sorting system.
Works has started
Axioma Servisas team has undertaken the installation of the mechanical part of the equipment listed above. They started in late summer.
“We are familiar with the equipment of the waste sorting system. We plan to split the specialists into two teams and complete the installation by February 2025,” says project manager Žilvinas Ratkevičius.
