“Axioma Servisas” successfully renews pump and strainer control system at “Aukštaitijos Vandenys”

This month, Aukštaitijos Vandenys UAB can already enjoy an updated and improved II lifting pump and strainers control system. During the six-month project, Axioma Servisas UAB took care of its implementation from design to commissioning.

“The customer supplies drinking water to the entire city of Panevėžys and surrounding districts. Thus, the process of water preparation and supply could not be interrupted; the control system could not be disabled. For this reason, when updating the control system, all works were planned in detail and divided into stages in order to ensure an uninterrupted supply of drinking water to the population,” said Robertas Abraškevičius, the Project Manager, sharing the challenges of the project.

During the course of the project launched in November last year, Axioma Servisas performed design, equipment supply, dismantling, installation and start-up and tune-up works. Aukštaitijos Vandenys not only upgraded its worn-out equipment, but also improved the entire II lifting pumps and strainer control system. Upon completion of these works, the control system supplying drinking water to the residents of Panevėžys and surrounding areas became even more reliable.

The control system installed in Panevėžys was well known to the team of “Axioma Servisas” specialists. These specialists of Kaunas Automation Division were the ones who installed it 10 years ago. A large team of programmers and engineers/adjusters contributed to this modernisation project.

The controllers of all (three) control systems and their programmes were replaced during the “Aukštaitijos Vandenys” project. “The biggest challenge was the supply of the control components, because in the current situation, all supply chains are stalled. We are glad that the equipment was delivered only with minor delays, which were compensated by optimising the work. Thus, there was no deviation from the standard work schedule”, added Abraškevičius.

“Axioma Servisas” is a certified SCADA system installer using exclusively certified software. In addition, the company, which has more than 20 years of experience, has successfully completed more than a dozen similar projects that require the expertise and coordinated work of all professionals.

“Aukštaitijos Vandenys” supplies drinking water, collects and manages wastewater, operates water supply and wastewater disposal networks in Panevėžys, its suburbs and part of Panevėžys District.
