Since 2022, a modern plant of UAB Homanit Lietuva has been under construction on a 73.6 hectare site in Pagiriai, where the production of medium density fireboard (MDF) and high density fireboard (HDF) was started in early May in a test mode.
Axioma servisas team also contributed to the installation of the German capital company’s facility – specialists from Kaunas service department installed electrical and automation equipment.
Impressive scope of work
During the project, the Axioma servisas team laid more than 400 kilometers of control, power and communication cables, installed about 15 kilometers of metal cable structures, installed seven switchboards and assembled and installed about 130 electrical panels. Electrical and automation equipment was also installed in a 49.5 MW thermo-fusion preheater.
As many as 75 installers were on site at any one time. The total value of the project was more than €5.3 million.
Installation work was carried out at a height of 65 meters
The highest point of the Homanit Lietuva factory, where the Axioma servisas team carried out the installation work, is 65 meters.
“Some of the cables and cable runs were installed at a height of 65 meters, in cold weather and outdoors. Not only did we need to ensure the highest quality of work, but also the safety of our employees,” says Robertas Abraškevičius, Senior Project Manager, about the risks of the project.
