Axioma servisas specialists start the repair work at one of the largest PET pellet production companies, UAB “Orion Global Pet” in Klaipėda. Our team will be repairing and cabling control and cut-off valves and checking measuring instruments.
The Orion Global Pet plant is currently undergoing a scheduled equipment inspection, which takes place every five years. Our service technicians have carried out automation and electrical work here since the plant was built, as well as during the scheduled inspection of production equipment five years ago, and carry out automation work of all sizes on a regular basis. When Orion Global Pet issued a tender for this year’s scheduled maintenance work, Axioma servis, which has already earned its status as a trusted partner, was awarded part of the service.
According to the contract, the scheduled repairs have to be completed within two weeks. Up to 30 workers may be needed for all of them. A joint team from the Lithuanian (Klaipėda branch) and Estonian branches will work on the job.
“The schedule is really tight: equipment needs to be disconnected, dismantled, taken for inspection and reconnected. This is a major inspection of the equipment, and specialists from several companies will be working for the customer at the same time, so we will have to adapt to each other. However, this is not the first such order for us – I know that with the competence of our people we can handle anything,” says Vitalijus Ananjevas, head of the Klaipėda branch of Axioma servisas, who is in charge of this project.
Orion Global Pet UAB is one of the largest PET pellet manufacturing companies in Lithuania, operating in the Klaipėda Free Economic Zone since 2006. The company belongs to the group of Indorama Ventures, a leading international PET pellet producer, which operates plants in Asia, Europe, America and Africa. The company produces 255 000 tonnes of PET pellets per year.
Axioma servisas’ Klaipėda branch currently also carries out various automation and electrical engineering works for the Klaipėda maritime cargo company BEGA, the automotive oil and fluid production company SCT Lubricants, the tobacco factory Philip Morris and the Lithuanian branch of Mars Lietuva, one of the world’s largest food producers.
