Axioma servisas, a leading provider of integrated engineering services, will carry out work on another industrial plant under construction. At the end of last year, a contract was signed with Mestilla UAB, a leading producer of rapeseed oil, protein feed additives and biodiesel, for the installation of the electrical and automation part of the technological equipment in a new plant under construction in the Klaipėda Free Economic Zone (FEZ).
90 kilometers of cables will be laid
Specialists from the Klaipėda service unit undertook to carry out installation and adjustment work on the electrical-automation equipment, laying about 90 kilometers of cables and installing more than 800 measuring instruments. The new factory will also include cable routes, electrical cabinets, junction boxes, safety keys and posts.
Once installation is complete, cold (de-energized) debugging and documentation will be carried out. Axioma servisas debuggers will then participate in the general commissioning of the plant with technology representatives later this year.
Work has already started
All the installation and commissioning of the E/A equipment listed above will be completed within 5 months. It is expected that a team of up to 35 specialists will be on site at any one time.
“The deadlines are really tight, so the real work had to start as early as possible. I am pleased that we have started the installation of the E/A part even before the installation of the technology was completed,” says Raimondas Beinorius, Head of Automation Division.
Experienced team at work
All of the above electrical-automation work is routine for the Automation Division specialists at the Klaipėda Service Unit.
“The biggest challenge of the project will be the installation of the cable runs before the piping is installed. We will have to estimate clearances and distances, so we will use a 3D model of the project. On the other hand, there are always additional challenges in the course of the work, but I have faith in my team to overcome them,” says R. Beinorius, Head of Automation Division.
