The team of Axioma servisas, a member company of the Lithuanian Maintenance Engineering Association, participates in the association’s training course on the organisation of maintenance in a modern manufacturing company. During the first two days of the training, Axioma servisas specialists recalled the theoretical basics of maintenance, solved practical tasks on how the application of one or another solution increases the efficiency of maintenance, what is the impact of preventive maintenance on the durability of industrial and energy equipment.
“We are on site every day and our experts have been providing routine maintenance and emergency repair services for more than 25 years, but we always say yes to new training. We want our staff to continuously improve their knowledge of the practical as well as the theoretical side and the latest trends in the field. This is the only way we can guarantee the best service to our customers,” says Artūras Lopeta, Managing Director of Axioma servisas.
It is planned that the entire executive team of the company will receive this training.
Maintenance in a manufacturing company is a controlled and planned activity, just like finance, sales or business development. We share what we learn with our customers and are pleased that there are more and more companies in the Baltic States that see maintenance as part of asset management, plan it responsibly and thus protect their company from unexpected breakdowns and production downtime,” adds Lopeta.
Theoretically, there are the following types of maintenance: emergency (after equipment failure), periodic (at the frequency specified by the manufacturer), preventive (vibration measurements, thermal imaging, oil analysis) and intelligent maintenance (using process indicators). Global practice in manufacturing companies shows that allocating as little as 3% of investment in production equipment to preventive and smart maintenance can ensure stable operation of equipment and avoid premature wear and tear or unplanned failures. It is recommended that every company starts with a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) that improves maintenance productivity, manages the spare parts warehouse, monitors and improves employee productivity, reduces outsourcing, controls maintenance costs, and improves the company’s overall productivity and profits.
Axioma servisas offers its customers all types of maintenance and the tools to manage it. The company’s customers include industrial and energy companies in all the Baltic States. Since 2018, the company has been a member of the Lithuanian Maintenance Engineering Association, which aims to bring together Lithuanian maintenance professionals to share best practices, ensure efficient maintenance, safety at work and competitive products.
