Axioma servisas joins the development of charging station infrastructure

The European Union has decided to ban the production and sale of new cars with internal combustion engines from 2035. The aim is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the Community and to focus on the development of electric vehicle and their infrastructure.

In view of the demand for charging stations and the prospects for the electric vehicle market, Axioma servisas’s specialists are launching a service for the supply, installation and maintenance of charging stations for electric vehicles.

The target for 2030 is 240,000 electric vehicles

Although the number of registered electric vehicles in Lithuania is growing regularly and has increased more than 6 times in three years to 17,000, the Lithuanian Energy Agency says that the country is still quite far from its target.

The number of EVs in Lithuania is expected to reach 240,000 by 2030, but a large part of the population is discouraged from buying a more sustainable vehicle by an underdeveloped infrastructure of charging stations. The number of public charging stations in the country currently stands at just 1018.

As many as 45% of Lithuanians do not choose an electric vehicle due to poor charging infrastructure

According to a Sprinter Research survey carried out in February this year, almost half of those surveyed are not using an electric vehicle because of the complexity of charging.

In order to improve the charging infrastructure and the accessibility of the network for drivers, its development will be a major focus in the near future and the Axioma servisas team will be contributing to this.

Support for the installation of electric vehicle charging stations

Currently, both natural persons (owners of individual houses and gardens and presidents of apartment buildings) and legal persons (associations representing apartment buildings, private and public institutions, companies, organisations), as well as entities managing lighting networks, can install charging stations for electric vehicles with state support.

The State compensates:

  • up to 60 % of the costs for natural persons;
  • up to 80 % for legal persons;
  • up to 50 % of the costs for entities managing lighting networks.

From selecting equipment to helping you complete your application

“With this new activity, we aim to contribute to the improvement of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Lithuania and to the creation of a more environmentally friendly world,” says Andej Kel, Project Manager at Axioma servisas.

The company will offer a comprehensive service package – selecting, supplying, installing and maintaining electric vehicle charging stations. It will also provide advice and assistance during the application process.
