Axioma Servisas, which has already landed more than 250 public procurement contracts this year, added to its solid basket two more contracts with Kauno Energija AB, which consistently invests in the implementation of modern heat production and supply technologies, solar power plants and solar farm development projects.
The first contract with the value of 200 thousand euros was signed for the renewal of the ash removal system in the Ežerelis boiler plant owned by the company. The second contract is for the supply of modern mobile equipment for measuring the concentration of exhaust gases.
Turnkey ash removal system upgrade
The contract signed at the end of July provides for the modernisation of the ash disposal system of Kaunos Energija’s 12.85 MW Ežerelis boiler plant. The team of Axioma Servisas will take care of the automation of the entire system – equipment design, supply, installation, as well as start-up and adjustment works.
During the project, two ash channels with scrapers, two ash containers with lids and a chain conveyor with an angular section of 45 degrees will be installed.
All this equipment is custom-made and adapted exclusively to the needs of Kaunas Energija. “The main challenge is to install a system that will transport the ash over the side of the chain conveyor. We have not previously implemented such a non-standard solution”, said Tomas Kupstas, Project Manager.
When installing a non-standard solution, it will be required to prepare a 25-centimetre-deep channel through which the conveyor will run, and to make an opening in the outer wall so that the equipment comes out into the outdoor platform. The new ash disposal system will automatically load the ash into the delivered containers.
The project will be completed next spring. The system design preparations is currently underway.
Supply of equipment for exhaust gas measurement
According to another contract, the Axioma Servisas team will supply the customer with the flue gas analyser Testo 350 from a well-known manufacturer of portable and stationary measuring devices on the world market, as well as its accessories.
At the end of August, Testo 350 control unit, its analysis box, flue gas sampling probe, power unit, spare filters (for probe and analysis box) and a transportation case will be delivered to Kauno Energija.
Professional equipment made in Germany, with a value of nearly 11 thousand euros, will allow convenient monitoring of O2, CO, NO, NO2, SO2 gas concentrations at different heat production points in boiler rooms.
Kauno Energija AB supplies 123,000 consumers with district heating in Kaunas, its district and in Jurbarkas. The total thermal capacity of the boiler plants managed by the company reaches 685 MW, and that of energy – approximately 694 MW. The company produces most of the heat supplied to consumers from a renewable energy resource – biofuel, which contributes to the creation of a more sustainable and cleaner environment in the country.
