The accredited laboratory of Axioma serviso not only carries out biofuel quality tests, but also metrological checks of gas analysers and breathalysers. The specialists at the Vilnius-based laboratory are pleased that most of their customers are satisfied with the quality of their services and are happy to continue their cooperation.
One of them is UAB Utenos vandenys, a company involved in drinking water production, supply and wastewater collection and treatment, with which a new contract has been concluded for the metrological testing of gas analysers and gas leak detectors. These services will be provided to the company from the beginning of 2023.
Continuous verification of measuring instruments
Utenos vandenys uses gas analyzers and gas leak detectors, for which the Axioma servisas team has undertaken metrological checks.
Metrological inspections of this equipment will be carried out twice a year. The customer will deliver the gas analyzers and gas leak detectors to a laboratory in Vilnius, where they will be tested within 5 days.

Metrological inspections are mandatory
In accordance with the procedure laid down by the Metrology Law of the Republic of Lithuania, all explosive or toxic gas analyzers, alarms and leak detectors used on company premises must undergo a timely metrological inspection. This shall include an assessment of the compliance of the measuring instruments with the metrological parameters laid down.
Metrological checks must be carried out every 6 months, and failure to submit valid documents following an inspection by the authorities authorized by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania may result in a financial penalty of up to €10,000 for the company.
At the end of 2024, Axioma servisas was accredited to carry out metrological inspections not only of gas analyzers-signal detectors, but also of alcotesters.
