Axioma Servisas, a company providing repair and maintenance services for industrial mechanical, electrical and automation equipment, is pleased to have added another environmental management company to its list of regular customers. After winning the tender, the specialists undertook to provide repair and maintenance services to the municipal waste management company Klaipėda Regional Waste Management Centre UAB (KRWMC). Maintenance will be provided to all the mechanical equipment at its waste sorting plant.
Technological line comprises nearly 70 machines
The mechanical sorting plant in Dumpiai village separates glass, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, paper and several types of plastics from the mixed municipal waste collected. This process uses a mechanical sorting technological line consisting of nearly 70 different machines. They will now be repaired and maintained by the Axioma Servisas team.
The technological line at the Klaipėda Regional Waste Management Centre comprises 36 belt conveyors, one chain conveyor, 2 ferrous metal separators, a shredder, a press, an air compressor, a vibrating sieve machine, a dust collection system and other mechanical equipment.
Work will be carried out on demand
Repair and maintenance services for all of the above equipment will be carried out on an as-needed basis: repairs will be carried out on the basis of the customer’s order and maintenance will be carried out according to an approved schedule. Axioma Servisas will also supply all the necessary parts and materials.
Maintenance work on the equipment of the technological line will be carried out according to the frequency specified in the technical specification. For example, once a week, the team will perform the reducer and belt tension check, cleaning of the drum wheels and the vibrating sieve machine, and once a month – a hard metal welding of the shredder blades and counter-blades, cleaning of the engine, and other work.
The contract, signed in October, will run for 13 months with an option to extend it for the same period.
The total value of the services ordered cannot exceed €250,000.
Overseeing the KRWMC management system since 2022
Axioma Servisas has signed its first maintenance contract with Klaipėda Regional Waste Management Centre in 2022. Under this contract, Klaipėda’s employees undertook to maintain the Automated Control System (ACS) and the equipment it controls.
The latter is a 36-month contract and the total value of the works cannot exceed €120,000.

The Klaipėda Regional Waste Management Centre (KRWMC) is a joint venture of seven municipalities: Klaipėda, Palanga and Neringa cities, as well as Klaipėda, Kretinga, Šilutė and Skuodas districts. The KRWMC manages the regional landfill established in 2008 in the village of Dumpiai, Klaipėda District.
