Axioma Servisas signed an important contract with SE Lithuanian Airports for performance of exploitation, repairs and technical maintenance of the Vilnius Branch electricity networks, equipment up to 10 kV and systems. The team of thirteen employees will start the works at the site on coming Monday and will ensure continuous (24/7) maintenance of the airport’s electricity networks and equipment in the coming three years.
Axioma Servisas was announced the successful tenderer in this public procurement procedure nine months ago, however, the contract was endorsed by the signatures only in August. The process was disrupted by the claim lodged by one of the tenderers, which went as far as the Court of Appeal of Lithuania. After finally being able to prove that it holds all the competences and experience conforming to the requirements, Axioma Servisas is now able to take over maintenance of all electrical equipment into its own hands and mobilise the team of professionals at the largest airport of the country.
“We will be present at the Vilnius Airport for the period of its development, during construction of the new passenger departure terminal. Obviously, these processes will be challenging for us,” said Tomas Gerdauskas, Head of the Vilnius Service Division.
According to him, strategic maintenance of an important object demands special responsibility and focus of the managers and employees, while the greatest challenges that the team of the Vilnius division will face are uninterrupted supply of services, particularly prompt response to failures and ensuring availability of qualified employees.
At the airport, Axioma Servisas will perform exploitation of equipment up to 10 kV and systems, provide maintenance of internal power networks, support to the aircraft power sources at the platform, exploitation, repair and technical maintenance of signal lighting and their equipment system, and ensure supply of spare parts.
The project supervisor who joined the Vilnius team possesses extensive experience working at the Vilnius Airport and knows this object really well. We believe that the team of electricians under his management will easily tackle any challenges, while excellent results will allow to gain the client’s trust and successfully participate in other airport procurement procedures and projects,” said Tomas Gerdauskas, Head of Vilnius Services Division.
Vilnius Airport is the largest civil airport in Lithuania, which received 5 mln. passengers in 2019.
