One of Lithuania’s largest chicken producers is continuing to upgrade its refrigeration systems—in February, the company placed an order with Axioma Servisas and purchased eight fans from the leading German manufacturer ZIEHL-ABEGG.
Between 2024 and 2025, the client purchased more than 100 fans from this manufacturer.
Harsh environment – a serious challenge for cooling equipment
A harsh acidic environment forms in cold storage chambers, placing special demands on the equipment. When operating fans under such conditions, not every manufacturer’s solutions can ensure long-term and stable operation.
Since the company raises chickens, reliable temperature control in the facilities is critical; therefore, failure of this equipment could result in significant financial losses.
Convinced of the highest fan quality
Previously, the company used fans from different manufacturers, which had to be replaced quite frequently due to the demanding operating conditions. Over time, it was observed that fans from the German manufacturer “ZIEHL-ABEGG” operate reliably for a longer period than comparable models from other manufacturers. Consequently, it was decided to invest in higher-quality fans.
“The customer has already been convinced of the quality of ZIEHL-ABEGG products and will gradually replace all the old cold storage room fans. When replacing the equipment, the main challenge is to adapt them to the existing space,” says sales engineer Mindaugas Bušinskas.
