The smart systems of Testo, a manufacturer that Axioma Servisas represents, are getting more and more popular among pharmaceutical and food-industry companies. One of such systems, called Saveris, has been used for quite some time by Lexano, a wholesaler of medications. The system is designed to constantly measure the temperature and humidity of the fridges in which pharmaceuticals are stored, and to promptly notify the client about any indicator deviations.
Recently, the company decided to upgrade its system – it purchased the second version of the system and carried out validation work that ensures the reliability of the data and reports collected and stored by the system as well as allows auditing the actions of any user.
Medications are very sensitive to temperature deviations, which is why consistent monitoring of the environmental parameters that affect product quality is an integral part of the pharmaceutical industry. Thanks to innovative technologies and advanced solutions, such monitoring process becomes much more simple.
“Sometimes companies face such issues as products losing their characteristics due to inconsiderate action of employees or technical failures of equipment that are detected untimely, and then the products have to be discarded. With the smart parameter-monitoring systems that we provide, such mistakes and big losses can be easily avoided,” told Darius Jagelavičius, Sales Engineer at Axioma Servisas.
When the system detects any minimal deviation from set limits, it sends signals and the monitoring persons receive notifications directly in their mobile phones. At the same time, an electronic notification is sent to the quality management department. One of the biggest advantages of such system is the collection of information on the failures and changes that have occurred. This allows accurate tracking of when it happened and which device was affected.
Both the suppliers of medications and their clients also need to have the documents certifying the quality and reliability of such system, which include its operational principles, procedures and sensor maps. For this reason, validation work was carried out with the help of the manufacturer’s specialists.
After the successful upgrade and validation of the Testo Saveris system, the supplier of products to the largest hospitals in the country can continue to ensure compliance with the highest product storage standards and is ready to collaborate with even the most demanding suppliers.
Axioma Servisas install smart environmental-parameter systems not only in the pharmaceutical industry but also in food industry or high-tech biotechnology companies, where temperature and humidity can affect the quality of products and processes, as well as in museums or archives which need to avoid the effects of humidity on their exhibits and documents.
