ORLEN Lietuva AB presents a letter of gratitude to “Axioma Servisas” for the successful implementation of the modernisation project

Already at the end of last year, Axioma Servisas successfully completed the renovation of the control systems of turbines T-1 and T-2 of the thermal power plant of ORLEN Lietuva AB. More than 20 professionals have contributed to the work performed over a period of several months, which has been recognised by a long-standing client of the company.

The letter of gratitude was presented to the team of “Axioma Servisas” for their successful completion of the project at the end of March this year. This kind gesture has become a beautiful tradition of “ORLEN Lietuva” – after each significant project is successfully completed, thanks are paid not only to the company’s employees, but also to the contractors who contributed to the project.

During the renovation of the control systems of the thermal power plant turbines T-1 and T-2, “Axioma Servisas” specialists were responsible for the electrical and automation design, dismantling the old equipment, supply and installation of controllers, operator computers, cables, electrical and automation equipment. They also assembled and replaced electrical distribution cabinets, performed repairs of the control room, as well as commisioning works.

“The main challenge of this project was that the required number of I/O modules was not maintained using the communication equipment provided by the original automated control system structure. We are very pleased that our long-term partner Schneider Electrics has adapted the existing and supplied additional equipment, specifically for this object of ORLEN Lietuva AB,” said Remigijus Kalkauskas, the Project Manager.

Upon completion of the renovations, the only petroleum refinery in the Baltic States that is operated by ORLEN Lietuva AB now features a modern and modernised T-1 and T-2 turbine control system.
