Axioma Servisas UAB, a company providing the widest range of maintenance services to the industrial sector, continues to successfully perform complex repairs of rotating mechanical equipment.
The company has performed an overhaul of an enormous reducer for Somlita UAB, one of the largest and most modern manufacturers, exporters and processors of plastic packaging in the Baltic region.
“We often repair this kind of equipment, but this time the reducer had particularly impressive dimensions. Typically, such devices weigh up to one tonne. The reducer used in the customer’s company weighed as much as two tonnes. For this reason, we needed non-standard tools, which our partners helped us find,” said Povilas Valiūnas, the Repair Group Manager, commenting on the project challenges.
During the overhaul, the bearings and shafts have been restored and the seals were replaced. All the necessary materials and spare parts reached the “Axioma Servisas” team on time, so the work was carried on according to plan.
A large part of the employees of “Axioma Servisas” Kaunas Repair Group contributed to the repair of this two-tonne reducer.
