Axioma Servisas, which has many years of experience in the installation and servicing of industrial equipment, signed two new contracts with Lavango Engineering LT, which designs and produces food processing and handling equipment. The equipment of the partner company Karl Schnell located in the Klaipėda Free Economic Zone (FEZ) will be installed in one of the largest food industry companies in Lithuania, which is currently in the process of active expansion.
Installation of meat processing line equipment
The first project includes the installation of the electrical elements of Karl Schnell and Lavango equipment, automation design, programming and start-up and adjustment. The meat processing, i.e., the grinding and feeding, line is installed in a warehouse where the temperature is kept at just 5 degrees to protect the food from spoilage.
By the end of February, the plant will be equipped with 5 screw and 1 belt conveyor with a metal detector. Axioma Servisas specialists will perform the installation of the said equipment, assembly of electrical distribution cabinets, programming of the SCADA system, logic controllers and object programming, as well as start-up and adjustment works.
A team of 8 electrical and automation specialists will contribute to the project.
Installation of the new Combi Grinder line control system
The second project will be implemented at the end of 2023, after the construction of the new plant is completed. This project will include installation of the Combi Grinder type line for meat grinding, which consists of a breaking and grinding machines manufactured by Karl Schnell and an elevator and belt conveyor with a metal detector manufactured by Lavango.
The specialists of the Klaipėda Division will carry out complex installation of the electrical and automation part of the line control system, including design, installation, programming and commisioning.
“We are well-familiar with the industrial equipment of these manufacturers – we have previously carried out its repairs. Despite this, there will certainly be enough challenges in the project – one of the biggest challenges will be the integration of the new control system into the already functioning one”, said Raimondas Beinorius, Head of the Klaipėda Automation Department, about the intricacies of the projects.
Lavango Engineering LT designs and produces food production and processing equipment and its integration solutions for food industry production lines. The task of the international company is to help ensure a smooth production process – from the product’s entry into the premises to its packaging.
