“Axioma servisas” is preparing an innovation for the Lithuanian industrial market. On 1 August, a team will start working 24 hours a day to provide a fast emergency repair service to industrial companies. The service, which started in Vilnius and Kaunas districts, will be offered throughout Lithuania and neighbouring countries.
Arriving within one hour
“As the first in Lithuania to offer rapid assistance to industry, we will commit to our customers to arrive at the scene of an emergency within one hour and undertake the necessary repairs. We are currently continuing to build our team, with a total of 17 people working in the newly established Help 24/7 department,” says Gintautas Gaižauskas, Director of the Commercial Department at “Axioma servisas”.
A team of electrician-automatic technicians and locksmith-welders will be on call 24 hours a day, and will be based in one of two cities – Vilnius or Kaunas. A mobile workshop with all the necessary equipment for emergency response is also being finalised. Later, we hope to expand the service to Klaipėda, as well as to the Latvian and Estonian markets.
“On arrival at the scene, technicians will carry out an initial inspection, diagnose the problem and fix the fault. If it turns out that more extensive repairs are needed, our specialists will apply a temporary solution and offer the services of other “Axioma servisas” units, which we regularly provide to industrial companies,” says G. Gaižauskas.
It’s not worth it to run your own service
The company started actively selling the service in mid-April by contacting potential customers. These can be divided into three categories: one part of the companies is actively interested in the new service, another part wants a more detailed presentation, and the third part has its own service to ensure round-the-clock production.
“It is common for larger companies to have their own emergency structures. We will offer them a similar service in the future, but for now we are targeting small and medium-sized manufacturers. Our main argument is that we want a high and uniform quality of service at a reasonable price. We argue, based on the numbers, that it is more worthwhile to buy this service from us than to have your own emergency service”, says G. Gaižauskas.
With rising wages and the cost of energy resources, it is not cost-effective for companies to have a dedicated on-call worker today. “That’s what we’re trying to prove to our potential clients,” says Gaižauskas.
Idea of 2019
The idea for the 24/7 support service was conceived by “Axioma Servisas’s” managers back in 2019, when the first preparations were organised. The process was halted by the COVID-19 quarantine restrictions in 2020, which meant that operations had to be suspended until the beginning of this year.
“We believe in this project – there is currently no equivalent of this emergency service in the industry. What’s also attractive is that this service creates a great opportunity to build new relationships with customers and offer them more one-stop service,” says G. Gaižauskas.
According to the Lithuanian Maintenance Engineering Association, unplanned equipment failures account for 40-95% of all failures in manufacturing companies.
“The losses incurred when production lines stop are financially painful, so it is in the interest of every money-counting manager that accidents are eliminated as quickly as possible,” says Gaižauskas.
“Axioma servisas” provides probably the largest number of maintenance services to Lithuanian industry. It provides service and maintenance services for industrial plants and offers process automation and modernisation solutions. It also develops information technology products and solutions for improving the efficiency of company processes, data collection and accounting.
