The “Axioma Servisas” laboratory will carry out quality tests of the biofuel used in one of the most modern power plants in Europe – Vilnius CHP. Having won the public procurement, the company undertook to test the main parameters of the biofuel quality of the company that produces district heat for the entire city of Vilnius for a period of three years.
“The customer will be tested for humidity, ash content and calorific value on a daily basis, and the results will be provided within 3 business days. These tests are useful for all heat producers, because the quality of biofuel determines not only its price, but also the performance and efficiency of the equipment used”, commented Eglė Nugaraitė-Juršienė, head of the biofuel laboratory, on the terms of the new contract.
At the Vilnius CPP, Axioma Servisas currently carries out management and automation works of the biofuel unit processes worth EUR 1 million. It also provides the company with continuous maintenance services for automation and hydraulic equipment, electric motors and belt conveyors.
Specialists with many years of experience who carry out testing in the accredited laboratory of Axioma Servisas are trusted by 40 regular customers, whose cooperation is confirmed by long-term contracts.
“During the season, we test daily about 500 different samples, which are submitted by our regular customers. We also receive one-off orders, so from September to April, the whole team works at maximum capacity”, added Nugaraitė-Juršienė with regard to the workload.
The laboratory is equipped with modern, specialised equipment, with which is operated by qualified specialists. It also features the intelligent data processing information system BioLab, which allows to register, save and provide data on the progress of research by means of electronic communication, avoiding possible human errors. The Axioma Servisas laboratory performed not only biofuel testing and water quality tests.
