Axioma Servisas launches new line of business: installation of geothermal heat pumps

Axioma Servisas continues to successfully expand the range of its services and will be launching the service of installation of increasingly popular and environment-friendly geothermal heat pumps this year. This service will primarily cater to new industrial-commercial buildings and apartment buildings undergoing renovation.

‘We are keeping an eye on the market developments — new buildings under construction and apartment buildings under renovation follow Europe’s green course and take steps to ensure sustainability increasingly more often. The installation of geothermal heat pumps is a cutting-edge measure that has the support of and financial assistance from the European Union. Considering the favourable landscape and seeing a window of opportunity for further development, we have decided to bring a new service to the market,’ says Edgaras Adomaitis, Director of the Development Department at Axioma Service

Another key factor here is that the end of the last year saw the acquisition of UAB IGLU TECH, geothermal heat pump manufacturer that has launched a next-gen solution designed both for private homes and for buildings that serve a commercial, industrial, and public function.

‘By consolidating the capabilities and competences of both companies, we will be able to offer our clients the service of heating and cooling system project management, from pump production, supply, and installation, to maintenance and service,’ says Mr Adomaitis.

The European Commission pursues the goal of reducing the net emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) in the EU by at least 55% by 2030, compared to the 1990 levels. The key step in achieving this is to improve energy efficiency through integration of products that rely on renewable sources, such as solar plants, heat pumps, and so on.

The geothermal heat pumps that are recommended by Axioma Servisas constitute a most promising solution, one that uses free energy from the environment for the purposes of heating and cooling premises, guarantees safety, maximum efficiency, minimises the dependence on fuel price hikes, combats climate change, and makes the EU energy sector more competitive. Geothermal energy is predicted to be able to satisfy up to 20% of the EU’s total energy needs in 2050.

In the words of Vytautas Krušinskas, head of the Kaunas service station, fitting sustainable alternative energy solutions to industrial properties is a challenge that calls for a great deal of competence and ambition.

‘We approach all this as a long-term project and, as a result, our activities will not be limited to just choosing and customising the optimal product and properly designing the bores. We will be also offering professional ongoing maintenance and heat pump service, something that clients with heat pumps from other manufacturers could benefit as well,’ says Mr Krušinskas.
