A team from the Kaunas service unit has undertaken to implement a maintenance project for a steam turbine, generator and other auxiliary equipment at UAB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alytausst.lt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alytaus \u0161ilumos tinklai<\/a>, which supplies hot water and heat.<\/p>\n<h2>The servicing shall be carried out every 100 000 operating hours<\/h2>\n<p>The power generation system at the district boiler house in Alytus consists of a steam turbine, a generator, an oil system and other equipment.<\/p>\n<p>According to the manufacturers&#8217; recommendations, a comprehensive maintenance of this equipment should be carried out every 100 000 operating hours. This is what Axioma&#8217;s service technicians are currently doing.<\/p>\n<h2>The dismantled equipment is transported to Germany and Austria<\/h2>\n<p>All the equipment was dismantled in the first week of June and transported by two trucks to the manufacturers&#8217; workshops. One truck transported the equipment to ELIN Motoren GmbH&#8217;s workshop in Austria and the other to MAN Energy Solutions SE in Germany.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video src=\"https:\/\/axs.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Demontavimo-paslaugos.mov\" autoplay=\"autoplay\" controls=\"controls\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>The process of raising a turbo generator<\/em><\/figcaption>&nbsp;<\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe steam turbine rotor, its guides, the high pressure control and turbine steam quick shut-off valves with hydraulic actuators and the rotor swing mechanism were transported to Germany and the generator to Austria.<\/p>\n<p>After a thorough diagnostic, the manufacturers&#8217; experts will replace worn out components and carry out the necessary maintenance work. This will take 4-5 weeks. The equipment will then be transported to Alytus, installed and commissioned.<\/p>\n<h2>The biggest challenge is in process management<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;The biggest challenge is the high volume of work and the tight deadline. You have to manage all the deadlines and partners&#8217; work within a few months in order to complete the project on the client&#8217;s deadline. Transporting exceptional technological equipment is also risky.
